POLTRONA ARREIO

 A arte e os ofícios do curtume impregnam de identidade regional o conceito da "Poltrona Arreio". As barrigueiras idealizadas para atar a sela ao corpo do cavalo e garimpadas na feira livre de Campina Grande (Paraíba) ganham evidência como matéria-prima. ​

O aço que estrutura a peça recebe o contorno afivelado de dez cintas de couro que originalmente estariam nas paisagens do Sertão nordestino, no dorso da cultura impregnada de códigos e símbolos materiais e imateriais que pontuam o estilo de vida e o perfil de seus personagens.​

 A rusticidade, a força e o design exótico transportam às referências do Movimento Armorial do escritor Ariano Suassuna que nos anos 70 proclama o resgate da arte erudita para forjar uma identidade cultural com base nas tradições. Na reinvenção das funções o desenho da poltrona faz dos arreios ponto de conexão entre passado e presente e resguarda a essência de um repertório de histórias que galopam os saberes ancestrais 
The steel structure of the chair is covered by the buckled contour of ten leather straps that are a staple of the North Eastern “Sertão", and which are a material and immaterial symbol of a culture that punctuate the lifestyle and the profile of its inhabitants. The rusticity, the brute strength and the exotic design refers to the 'Armor Movement" created by the famous Brazilian writer and playwright Ariano Suassuna in the 70's to promote the development and understanding of traditional forms of popular expression. In reinventing the function, the Arreio chair makes the harnesses a point of connection between past and present and safeguards the essence of a repertoire of stories that are deeply embedded in the ancestral knowledge of the region.
